Serving on a mission team with New Life Deaf Ministry
means having the opportunity to share Christ's love with one of the
most unreached people groups in the world...the Deaf community.
GET READY!
2010 MISSION TEAMS NOW BEING SCHEDULED
Most short-term missionaries leave the experience with as much gained as given. The construction projects, Vacation Bible Schools, camps, teacher training workshops, leadership training retreats, and Bible classes provided by teams are all a vital part of New Life Deaf Ministry.
But beyond the mission projects are the relationships built between folks from very different cultures, languages, and economic levels. Many team members have commented about how much they have learned from the Honduran Deaf community about Christ, loving others, and being thankful for what we have. These people go back home deeply affected.
The relationship doesn't end after the team leaves. A partnership is formed and many past team members become regular supporters of NLDM: praying for the Ministry faithfully; contributing to the Ministry's funds; sponsoring Happy Hands students; returning for another mission trip; and keeping in touch through newsletters and e-mails.
Perhaps you would like to consider joining a mission team with New Life Deaf Ministry. You don't have to be Deaf or know sign language or Spanish to serve. NLDM is seeking folks who passionately love the Lord and want to bring His Word to others. People desiring to serve with NLDM may have a wide range of skills or just be willing to jump in where needed.
When you choose to join a mission trip with NLDM, you will be working alongside Deaf Honduran children, youth, men and women in doing His work. This is a great opportunity to share His love with people of another language and culture.
If you are interested in joining a mission team, please email Christy Owen at cowen@nldm.org or Andy Bugh at abugh@nldm.org.
