COMMUNITY OUTREACH

"To prepare God's people for the works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up."  Ephesians 4:12

The Community Outreach Project is a developing effort to expand the territory of NLDM.  This is done by reaching out to Deaf Hondurans, those who work in the field, and their families with a multitude of outreach projects.  A secondary goal is to provide awareness to the hearing community at-large.

The Community Outreach Project is divided into the following areas:

Training Programs to provide professional development opportunities for Honduran Sign Langauge (LESHO) interpreters and teachers of the deaf.

Early Childhood Program to prepare children from birth to age three for school and give them a head start in life.

Outreach Projects to help increase deaf awareness in the community and connect more deaf persons with the ministry's services.
